Local Governments

Thirty-seven local governing bodies from Los Angeles to Atlanta have passed resolutions endorsing the establishment of a U.S. Department of Peace. Cities large and small are endorsing, representing populations totaling more than 12.5 million people.  You will also want to read these stories from grassroots organizers who worked to get these resolutions passed.

"I have contacted several mayors in other cities around the nation that have already passed resolutions of support for the concept of a Department of Peace and none of us sees any downsides to it."
-- Randy Pye, Mayor, Centennial, CO
