Support a Youth

Student Peace Alliance supports youth across the country in mobilizing around the goal of creating and sustaining peace, both in their local communities and in the federal government.  Without the passion and commitment of these youth our work would not be possible.  But as we all know, students and youth generally don't have access to the financial resources needed to support growth and development within our movement.  As a citizen funded movement we need financial support to assist these youth in meeting their full potential to effect change.   To help, please make a donation on behalf of a youth or their chapter today.  Please visit link to make a monthly, quarterly, or one time contribution.  We can change the world, but we need your help!

Become a SPA Peace Partner

ways-to-giveBecome a Student Peace Alliance Peace Partner!  Make a donation once a month, or even once quarterly, to support the work of SPA. Your generous donation will help us make peace a policy priority in our federal government.  Make your sustainable donation today to assist in the long term planning and goals of supporting youth community peacebuilding efforts, creating SPA National Conferences and granting youth scholarships, and providing SPA Coordinating Committee and National Organizing Team with monthly stipends for their hours of dedication and hard work!

SPA Peace Partners support a variety of work which allows SPA to continue to effectively organize and educate students all across the country.  Here are some examples:

  • Travel Scholarships: We need to provide scholarships to students and youth to ensure that our conferences are reflective of the diversity of our movement and nation.  Through travel scholarships we can ensure that passionate SPA organizers are able to attend SPA national events.
  • Intern Stipends: Our internship program is crucial for the sustainability of our national movement.  Coordinating Committee members work at 20 hours a week throughout the school year.  We need to provide financial support to these interns to ensure that their hard work is rewarded, to recruit top rate organizers from across the country, and to increase opportunities for those who are passionate but unable to do this work without financial support.
  • Training: In order to create effective change in our communities to reduce violence and build sustainable structures for peacemaking we must be trained in the necessary skill sets.  As an organization we hope to hire trainers who are available to the network of students across the country who are committed to making a difference in their communities.
  • Materials: We need to get the word out to our generation that peace is practical and that structures in our government to support it are essential.  Pamphlets, stickers, and buttons are all critical for chapter recruitment, development, and a strong presence on all of our SPA campuses.
